Default Loud noise coming from inside the car!

2 days ago my car starting making an obnoxiously loud noise. It's coming from around the glove box area. The best way to describe it is a cross between sticking a pen in to a plastic house fan and a power washer gas engine in a garage.

Anybody have a clue what this noise is? I tried searching about it but all I could seem to find were threads of people complaining about their direct fuel injection ticking.

I thought it was a fan but it still makes that noise when the AC is off and when the AC is on, air still comes out of all vents. I haven't checked the floor vent on the passenger side yet but I don't think this is the cause but it would make sense.

The blower motor is running when the A/C is on or off. I would take it into your dealer, chances are something is caught up in there and its best to let them find it before it blows that motor out and you're stuck with the bill.

This is correct. It's unlikely something fell in there, but it's possible.

After driving around and trouble shooting. It's the fan that blows air from outside in to the car. When I put the car in recirculation mode it does not make that noise. I had a feeling it was a fan from the sound.

For now I'm keeping it on recirculation mode unless I fart or something...

Did you recently have the cabin air filter replaced?

There's no reasonable explanation for recirc making a noise go away unless the door the recirc control opens was broken during a cabin air filter replacement. Yes, it is very possible to break the recirc/fresh air door when replacing the filter. AMHIK.

Exactly... I'm short for time these days with work and moving in to a new house so I have to make due with my current trick.
