Simply that. I'm in the middle of my aftermarket sub installation and I want to disconnect the OEM ML sub. I'm not even sure why the threads say I should do it, but I'm not gonna sweat the technicality right now... I just need to find the wires for it!
Thanks

the easiest way is gain access from the trunk.
open your trunk and if you look at the trim piece on the ceiling of the trunk on the left side which is directly beneath the sub, there are several slits cut already. The ones that's closest to the midline of the ceiling is a series of three slits. make one straight cut between the 1st and 2nd( the ones closer to the passenter compartment) , that should open up enough for you to disconnect the wire. if you do not want to cut at all, then remove the trunk trims and you should have a full view of the back side of the sub. a nice LED head lamp will help tremendously.
Alternatively, you can remove the seat, remove the C pillar trim and then remove the rear deck to gain access to the sub and risk damaging the flimsy trims in the process.
hope this helps.
