Paid less than $100 at the dealer. No time to do it and no proper tools. I think the price is fair for 10 qt and labor.

Yea, itd be cheaper to just buy the oil yourself and filter and let them do it. I think thats the only service you really need for toyota cars aside from filters and brake pads.

I buy my filters from Lexus for ~$10 and take the car to Walmart to do the oil change. They charge me ~$80 OTD, Mobil 1 only.

^^most marketing is designed to be interesting. Amsoil works very hard at their marketing. Their oil is undoubtedly good, but so are a number of others.

On average its around $200 every 5k miles at the dealer. My last trip however I went to a different dealer who offered $75 off your first service and 20% off each service afterwards up to a value of $1000. They sent me this offer through the mail in the form of like a card that you present each time. But yeah unless you get a card like that you got to be ready to shell out at least $200 every 5k miles.

Why would anyone even entertain not getting a synthetic oil change done? Regardless of what my mechanic says, the engine speaks to you on performance. Get a synthetic oil change every 3k miles for any lexus you own. AND ALWAYS PREMIUM FUEL!

My used oil goes back into the same empty jugs..

Then I put it out with my trash and luckily my city picks up the used oil with our recycling program
