Default ISF VS 135i Modded??

Do Any of the F owners here own or have driven the new 1 series twin turbo inline 6.....What I hear is its a true sleeper car and has tons of potential...Am I crazy for debating this trade off?? Help me guys, the car weights much less than the F and bottom line has a full aftermarket scene. I'm being told 400whp will be no big deal in this car.

A 335i needs 30+whp to keep up with a bolt-on ISF from a roll. I honestly wouldn't make the transition because the 135i is slower, smaller, and doesnt have the presence.

135i has same engine as the 335i thought just weighs less..300hp 300tq, I spoke with cobb this am and they said 900.00 for stage 1 and its 70wtq and 40whp increase. I would think 500lbs less and 330-350whp it should haul ***, but Im still gathering info so I could be wrong. I have seen a few 400+whp dyno graphs as well. I just cant stand that the ISF cant really be modded like I enjoy doing to all my cars. It seems sky is the limit with this 135i twin turbo.

They just redid the new 1 series. That almost had a lemon law with that series due to FPR issues and other electrical monkies playing a fool

All in all the F just stands out in a crowd. It looks mean and deserves attention.
I only see girls driving the 1 series.......... they are cute but still girls

Skip the 135i and get a 1M..

You need to watch the Top Gear review by Jeremy Clarkson. Too bad the Youtube video is removed..

The 1 series has modding potential that should easily be able to destroy the IS-F. However with bolts on, you have to work a little harder with the 1 series.

However by going to the bmw, your serious downgrading in terms of room, luxury and RELIABILITY. Those modded 1 series are stupid fast, but you'll see metal shards everytime you change your oil.

The 1M on the other hand, now that is something you can debate trading in the IS-F for. IMO, i would take the ISF over the 1M though

A 135i w/ the JB4 chip will walk on a ISF w/ bolt ons.

1M = nice
I seriously considered this car before getting the ISF earlier this year. Love the flared fenders on this car.

so the metal shavings comment is big.....its the same engine in the 135i as the m1 so how is one having a different tune going to have metal shards vs the other...? I cant find the 1m anywhere and dealers are telling me 5-10 over sticker and 1yr wait.

You can make a 335i or 135i faster than a IS F, M3 and the new 1M.... this is not news. The Evo and STI also weigh less and have huge aftermarket potential while we're at it.

The key difference is that they are turbocharged so the gains/ dollar spent is going to be greater. The 135i and 1M are smaller cars and pretty expensive for what they are. In addition they really don't look all that great.

Once you get past the Cobb AP and downpipe, FMIC, exhaust stage (where most people with these cars are at) the only other step is bigger turbos/turbo of which there aren't many options and even less engine software options (until Cobb or someone releases tuning software).

I wouldn't buy 1M or a 135i but that's just me.

My old AMG tuner bought one of these and got 400rwhp out of it his first night home with it and the car was bone stock with a paper air filter. He was running high 11’s on street tires…..

He just about had me convinced to get one of those, but I wanted a back seat and loved the thought of the V8. I know a couple guys with modded 335i's if you want to take a spin in one. If should feel pretty close to a 135i. We meet up on Saturday mornings in Frisco all the time.

Going right now to drive a 6speed to see if it can convince me. Obviously im sold on the huge aftermarket world for it, but Im really curious what the stock engine can handle and cant seem to find it. I know After seeing the M1 I can make the car look mean quick.

Consider me the buyer of your nitrous kit.
