Weird how it has what looks like to be the 08-09 directional rims. But it states in the article it's the 2012 ISF. There's another post where the '12 should have a rim with more spokes than that.

The article shows me that they tested a 2011 IS-F with over 9,000 miles on the clock already..

Right on....

Lexus Japan already has the new 2012 wheels loaded onto their site...

So I'm almost sure this is what the USA might get this year...

I didn't know the F stood for Fuji Speedway, so I learned something from that article.

"Little details are what set the ISF apart from other versions of the IS. The "F" of course stands for Fuji Speedway, the Toyota owned race track where all Lexus sports models are developed and tested at."

That was a revelation to me too. Nice article. I like those '08 style rims better than any other OEM rim.

The name refers to Flagship and Fuji Speedway in Japan, whose first corner, 27R, inspired the shape of the "F" emblem. F models and F-Sport are developed by the Lexus Vehicle Performance Development Division .

F-Sport name is a Product of the minds at Lexus USA & TRD USA..

Lexus Japan liked it and now adopted "F-Sport" Factory Packages into the Lexus IS, Lexus CT200h, LS460 and soon the 2013 Lexus GS350..

The USA "F-Sport Accessory Parts" are not related to "F-Sport Packages" built at the factory in Japan.

They just share the name..

Dang....I was not expecting such a positive review. Any other review I've read cannot help but bring up m3 or the c63 amg into the equation. I like how they separate the IS-F from the other cars by reconfirming the F is both a luxury sedan and performance car packed into one. I don't know if BMW and Mercedes can say that. Im not bashing those cars because they are all good in their own right. But the m3 and c63 seem more performance orientated and forgot to match the F in the luxury department. I like my car a little more after reading that article.

Good Review

Anyways, in regards to the 11' model, yeah the rims are not right but they do have the headlights so its weird. I have an 08', but I've heard the 11' model has improved significantly in the handling department. Its weird that they say the suspension is only better at lower speeds. I read elsewhere that the Nurburgring time for the F from 08 to 11 has improved by a good 6 seconds putting it above the m3 and on par with it on just about any other track.

Anyways, in the end all these reviews don't matter. If you like your car and are satisfied with your purchase then thats all that matters.

I know I am...

as stated on my previous post
that is a AUDM (australian spec) ISF which still gets the older style wheels
our ISF still come with the older style wheels and 2011 is no exception
