And when you need them you NEED them! NEVER, EVER, PUT FORM IN FRONT OF FUNCTION!!
One local dealer wouldn't do it because it's not in their policy to deactivate a safety feature. The other local dealer said its $68.50 plus tax. .... The vehicle will not fail inspection at all....and they are not illegal. Also, you don't lose nearly as much as you're saying....i'm not saying you're 100% wrong... but you're pretty close..... Especially for someone who probably never drove with the drl's i have. Like I said in the earlier message....when i needed them at night on that windy road with no streetlights....they worked great...the combo of the led drl's and the regular hid low beams(automatically angled up) were great. I've had my car with stock high beams, upgraded PIAA Super Plasma GT-X bulbs, and the way it currently is. So I know first hand how much you loose and how "close to the factory high beam bulbs as far as output and brightness goes".... i'm not trying to sound like a jerk.. but that message u just left is a little left wing and extreme if you ask me. You are entitled to your opinion. But all i'm doing is the same thing. But i'm saying it how it is from my experience, opinion, facts from dealers, and the law... don't even care for a reply. just felt like telling everyone else what my response was to your little tirade

also...when i said that the combo of the led drl's and the regular hid low beams(automatically angled up) were great....i mean that they are definitely better than average peoples brights. but not quite as good as our ISF brights. But to say they are "NOT EVEN CLOSE" isn't entirely true IMO

I agree. I swapped out my highbeams with LED. Even on dark roads my low beam and led combined with my fogs is good enough. If I need more light I also have a HID flashlight, but to each his own. I don't think its illegal to run LED because if it was Audi wouldn't put it as their DRL or the new Mercedes and Lexus.

i like the '11 lights in some ways, but in other ways i don't....it's kinda an audi thing....it does look great on all the newer IS models....but i really really love the look of my LED DRL's....i think a tad bit more than the built in led's on the new IS models. But i would be really happy either way.

All I gotta say is that the new Kia's have leds in their headlights
Once companies like that start copying that style you know its overdone

I like having that option, driving at night to notify dumb people in my way and lighting up dark places.

Correct, you loose your Halogen HIGH BEAMS...

Not worth it in my opinion..

My DRL's are Turned Off and I have yellow DRL bulbs...

So when I NEED to throw the BRIGHTS ON it's a Mix of OEM HID & Yellow Love...
