All I gotta say is that the new Kia's have leds in their headlights
Once companies like that start copying that style you know its overdone
Companies like that realize that LEDs last longer, cost less, fit in more places and need smaller wire to run them. Soon all cars will have LEDs everywhere. It has nothing to do with copying a style.
There was a time that halogen lights were outlawed. The US only allowed sealed beams and you had a choice of round or square.

I'm all for practicality but I guess your not understanding why I said copying. Its the strip of leds in the head light(just for look, no function).
Audi did it great, Porches jumped on it and looks nice, now KIA has it.....come on...do I need to say more

This will be true for your home too. Incandescent light bulbs will all be illegal in 2014. Compact fluorescent bulbs suck if you turn them off and on frequently, and LED based lights are becoming available in just about all the legacy form factors. They last 25k hours vs. 2k hours and use less than 10% of the power of an incandescent and less than half the power of CFL with no mercury hazards.
It won't be long and all the car manufacturers will have nothing but LEDs on cars. I'd love to have LEDs replace my headlights - less power, longer service life, runs MUCH cooler...it's just a matter of time and development. The other plus - less horsepower lost to lighting (watts are watts, they come from your gas tank) so there will be fuel economy improvements too.
I can't wait for the new stuff, it's going to be great!
