Sputtering upon startup.

My 2010 sputters every once in a while after I start it. By sputtering, I mean the RPM goes down and misses a little. You'll think it's going to die, but it will smooth out in a few seconds. It does this infrequently so it will be hard to reproduce it to the dealer. Over the past 3000 miles or so, I've poured all kinds of fuel injector cleaner in it, so I'm sure the injectors, etc are not dirty. I've got about 46000 miles on it. Again, it's just occasionally upon startup (like once every 20 starts). Anybody know if I should worry about this? Is the F's "automatic choke" a little off sometimes?

My 2010 also does this. I just got to 12,000 miles.
It's very random, it seems like it has a hard time starting but within a few seconds it rebounds and is fine.
I have noticed it NEVER does it when it is warm.

I've seen this happen on really hot days... (only a few times)
Example:
I come off the freeway, rev backwards up my driveway & into my garage.. Garage is super hot...!!!
10 mins later go back to starter up and it sounds like too much fuel is squirting in there.
or maybe the revving before shuting down leaves too much fuel right at the injectors..
Does not happen on COLD Starts![Wink](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)

I have experienced the same...IMO it's probably due to the cold start and being on a different map from the last time the car was running with different environment variables (air temp, density, humidity, etc). It clears up after a few seconds because it has switched maps.
damn Joe replied before me...by cold start I mean the car has been sitting, not cold ambient temps. obviously when it's cold out with a cold start the car runs a high idle to reach normal operating temp quicker

Did you find out what was causing this and the fix? I am having the same issue.
