Default More brake dust in rear than front

Has anyone else noticed this with their F or is something possibly wrong with mine. I have noticed that my rear wheels continuously get more brake dust build up on them much quicker than my fronts are. I bought the car used and according to the dealer the brakes front and rear are OEM components. Within 4-5 days of washing the car I have substantial buildup in the back and it will take another 4-5 days to get the same amount on the front. I mean maybe I just notice it more since the larger lips on the rear wheels but I don't think that is it.

Thanks for anyone that can help me figure this out without having to go to the dealer.

It could be that the brake dust is being trapped in the wider rear rims. I see that your car is lowered too and that might add to the mix.

On the mechanical side, that rears could be providing more braking than the fronts. It's unlikely that both rear calipers are hanging up or dragging. A simple test is to touch the rims after driving for a while. If a caliper is hanging up, the wheel will be hotter. The front wheels should be slightly warmer than the rears. Be careful if you try to touch the rotors - they can be hot enough to burn skin.

Tough call. I have the OEM wheels on my car and the front pads dust the most. I can even see the dust the same day I wash the car. :/

Mine did the same... but I had ceramics in the front. Inspect your brake pads, maybe the dealer didn't really check.

I got more dust in front when I had OEM pads all around. Now I have project mu front pads and I get more dust in the rear (still with oem pads).

If you have OEM pads all around I think you should get more dust in front due to front brakes doing about 80% of the braking and not to mention the front pads are larger than the rears. So check to make sure you have OEM pads all around like the dealership said and see if they are installed properly.

Wild guess, front pads may be either after market or Lexus newly upgrade pads and the rears have the original stock, which produces insane amount of dusts.

Still dusty but much less than before. Another word, it's not dustless.

I will check temperature of wheels when I get home to make sure they are not stuck.

The fronts are definitely still dusty just not as bad as rears so maybe they are actually different.

Guess I will really know for sure in the next month because I will be upgrading to ProjectMu pads soon as these are going to be toast I think in the next month or two.

As was mentioned earlier, the only way you'd have more dust on the rear than on the fronts is if someone somewhere along the line swapped out the front pads to a low-dust formulation (like I did).

Mine are the same way as well, but as others have stated my fronts were changed not too long ago to what I'm assuming are updated oem pads. The dusting is ridiculous from the rears...

That could be the problem right there...
