All up about $3k for parts. Then you have to have them welded in and painted by someone competent. At least another $2k. If you don't do it this way, you'll still have to have the structure for the moonroof and that with the glass is the heavy part.

Agreed. The labor involved to do this properly would make the cost of the parts required to do this look like a bargain. Many moons ago I lived in NY and worked for a shop that specialized in Supras (Paisley Racing) and we had the targa roof removed to quite a few Supras and it was
expensive. The time involved was lengthy as well.
