Default Figs Engineering Mega Arms & Toe Links Installed (Lexus IS-F)

Already being a victim of premature inner tire wear from lowering my car, i turned to Club Lexus to see if there was a solution.....and i am happy to say i found the solution i was looking for. Figs Engineering adjustable lower control arms and toe links.....

I finished them this evening and it was too late to go get it aligned. I have an appointment on Monday..... We got them as close as possible using the old tape measure trick. The camber is all but gone now! FIGS FTMFW

ok here is the pics.

Yes ken your tire now makes full contact with the road instead of having just the inside make contact. More tire= More traction

Steve, looks great.

To summarize for all the handling benefits:
MEGA arms
-Allows camber correction in the proper location, at the bottom rear of the suspension. This adjusts camber and toe and allows most aggressive tire and wheel fitments.
-Static offset via inner spherical bearing and on-vehicle adjustment via eccentric bolt. These are common adjustments that any shop should be able to handle. That means you can get away with lower labor on install and alignment.
-Removes staked rubber bushing on the inside with free locating spherical bearing. This removes one undamped spring component from the suspension and increases traction and suspension response.
-Adjustments for spring mount and sway endlink mount. This means you can center the shock in the spring when lowered, especially important for the KW application since it uses the factory upper hats and shorter lower springs. Sway endlink mount has 3 options to adjust sway influence and preload.
- Shifted total weight inward to increase response further. Dimpling and gusseting increase total stiffness while removing weight and increase suspension response further.

Toe links
-Allows infinite adjustment
-Pushes eccentric mount all the way in to maximize the toe link length. This reduce bump steer characteristics in the rear. This is the feeling the rear is steering when you go over a bump and the feeling of tucking in on hard cornering.
-Allows running more camber with mitigated tire wear for track days.
-Replaces inner staked rubber bushing with spherical bearing for removal of undamped spring and potential binding due to rubber preload.

A common question is how much extra noise is transferred due the to spherical bearing replacement. teh answer is that it is minimal since the rear subframe bushings are still the major filter in noise conduction to the body. So you get a drastic improvement without taking on extra NVH.

Any other questions feel free to post or PM.

Nice job Meade!

I envy how clean your car is underneath. Cars in the NE only look that clean for a couple of months or a rainstorm - whichever comes first.

Steve,

You will love these. I've had 'em since FIGS first offered them for sale. Waiting on the fronts when they go on for sale. Good job, man.

Looks really good man. I would like to get those at some point. So far I have no tire wear from being very low on my KWs. Went and got an alignment after the install and its been fine, tires still look exactly the same.

This will depend on how low you go. The lower you are the more camber you will have as well as toe in.
