I would pay to rent one before buying if I could.

The guy is very trusting. Many things can go wrong and he's holding the bag. Insurance might not apply if he's using it for commercial purposes. He could be making payments for the rest of his life if someone is maimed or dies.

I agree, once I met some small time producer and he wanted to rent my 73 RS Camaro for a weekend. He dais that the car will be drive in SF and the actors will eventually make out on the back seat.
He was ready to pay $800 per day but I mean why would I let someone I don't know drive the camaro. My friends said I made a mistake but I feel renting a nice car is not okay, at-least for me.

I'd be a little skeptical about this as well. You own the car, yet you're willing to let others rent it. Sure it can generate some extra income. But at the same time the liability still falls on you should anything happen to it. I can see how the SF guy could see this as a business opportunity, but it can and most likely be too risky to undertake. I've had some people request that I drive them in my F for parties and special occasions, but that's only when I'm driving and there is no real risk involved.

That's an interesting business model. They take care of insurance and also screen customers before approving them as renters.
