At very low speeds and when coming to a stop at or below 10mph, my ISF has developed a brake squeaking. It doesn't do it all the time, but it can be loud at times. Any suggestions?

How many miles on this set of pads? Mine squeeks sometimes but nothing terrible. Every car that I have had with Hi-performance brakes has had some squeek, just seems to be the nature of the beast.

That's pretty normal. Mine have squeaked coming to a stop ever since the brake pads were not even half worn down. They are stock.
If you are into doing it yourself, you can put some pads on your F that won't squeak. Do a search on here and you'll see plenty of threads on it. Like Carbotech and Project Mu.

The OEM brakes are known to make some noise when braking at low speeds, it doesn't harm your rotors or anything, so I've learned to live with it (doesn't happen often).
There are various brake pads that don't do this, such as Hawk HPS, Napa, and Project Mu. These pads also emit less dust.

Yup, it happens on my MY11 F. Especially when temp is lower, it squealed louder when rolling to stop.
In fact squealing noise is normal to those OEM Brembo or other high performance brake pads.
Happened on my used STi and RS4, just warm up your pads and the noise will be gone lol.

Mine used to squeak all the time. I changed my front pads myself about 6 months ago with a fresh set of OEM ones. I cleaned/brushed all of the shims and pins thoroughly until all of the brake dust was gone and applied the supplied Brembo anti-squeal grease. To this day no squealing whatsoever at any speed!

My 08 F didnt squeak at all when I first got it. I put on a full set of Project Mu pads at about 45k. I love the pads from a performance and low dust standpoint. However that is when the squeaking started. I realized that we failed to add the anti squeak grease to the back of the pads![Egads!](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/pat.gif)
I have since purchased the grease from TRD and will be applying it soon. I'm sure that's going to take care of it. I will never do a brake job again without applying it. So to be clear: I highly recommend the Project Mu pads! The brake dust is extremely low compared to the OEM pads.
