I've gone between 30-40 miles after the "0" mark and filled up to less than 16 gallons and the needle has gone below the "E" mark. I don't do this often or as a habit though. The miles to empty calculation takes your lifetime fuel economy average to come up with that number displayed.
50 miles after ZERO is pushing it.. But very possible, if your not pedal stopping it......
I coughed out once, but at least I was pulling G's at the track.. LoL

That being said you don´t believe the posters in this thread claiming it could damage the engine?
Seems the conclusion here is that you can safely expect to go 30 miles "after 0"... Not that I am going to try, but now I will def. "go til 0" instead of fueling at 20 or so left
I've gone 28 miles after the range hits "0." It was pushing it then for me, but it did make it just fine. I'm never trying that again. I'd much rather take the peace of mind refilling when it hits empty and the light comes on.
Today I drove about 10 miles after the range said 0 mi. I filled up and it said 15.3 gal were filled. That means I had 1.6 gal to go, since the F holds 16.9 gal.
