Default A quick Joe-Z intake question

I got the intake yesterday so I was gonna go down to my mechanic to install it but I figured it was pretty simple to do myself. It was. 15 minutes and a screwdriver and it was complete. After it was installed i started the engine to listen to it for a few minutes. Some members have stated that it makes a funny noise for the first 30 seconds as the ECU is adjusting to a new flow rate. Mine didn't do anything like that. It sounded just as it always has. I then took it out for a spin and noticed that it revs a little higher than normal when switching gears. Where it seems to be switching is a little different as well. Does it take a day or so for the ECU to adjust or should it have done that on startup?

I assume you disconnected the battery when you installed it? If so, yes it will adjust as you drive.

Thx for the response. After a day of driving it seems to have returned to normal. I was thinking of pulling the fuses like joe-z does but i guess ill just leave it..

I cant tell any difference in sound over the OEM intake. I got the polished blue one and it looks awesome. Performance gain is noticeable but minimal...
