I think the midpoint between VA and the TriState area will probably end up being somewhere in DE. Figure most people will be coming from as far north as NYC area and as far south as Virginia Beach (I know there are a few people farther north or south, but this hits the majority of people), somewhere like Dover, DE would be a decent midpoint.

Dover is about a 3hr drive from NYC, a 3.5hr drive from Virginia Beach and a 2hr drive from DC. I was thinking somewhere like Atlantic City or Philly, but those places are 5+ hours from Virginia Beach and a little far for a day trip. I also considered Baltimore, but that adds about an hour to the trip compared to Dover for both the NYC people and the VB people (though the DC people would like it). As proven from our most recent meet, we could get 5 or 6 to come up from Virginia Beach alone. Plus, somewhere like Baltimore is going to require negotiating city traffic whereas Dover is kind of away from all of that. I realize Dover is kind of random, but it's actually a nice little drive getting there, and they have a pretty big casino and horse racing track there which could provide a nice wide open spot to meet up, some food to eat, and for those that are inclined, something to do after the meet.

All it takes is some planning. We set a date months in advance, take people's temperatures on attending, and then make it happen. Set a target for a Saturday in April perhaps? VJ, I'd be willing to work with you to get this organized.

VBB, this is perfect. a Saturday in April and holding it somewhere in DE sounds good. I know sonic40 (jason), I met him in March. He'll give me some good info on good locations out there. I think we can talk over chat, it'll be easier. I'll PM you soon.

By the way, Sandy tore the entire Northeast a new a-hole... over 70mph winds. My car cover kept blowing off, and rain got under the cover. I pretty much had to babysit the F for hours at a time to analyze how I could keep the cover on. Thankfully my car cover has a buckle in the middle. Even if I tied rope through the grommets, the wind would blow the sides up and the front and back would lift off. So I decided to put cinderblocks on either side of the car... no damage was done to the car, since it just rested on the outside of the cover. It helps that the cover has 5 layers.

Spotted in Hampton:

Starfire Pearl in the AFC2IC parking lot. If this acronym makes sense, you must be the one. The only SP's in VA are listed below so I'm guessing it may be one of you. I left today at 330 hoping to leave a note but you were already gone.

Ilbkuup - 2008 - Starfire Pearl - VA
ISFchica - 2012 - Starfire Pearl - VA
KiyomiF Meg - 2008 - Starfire Pearl - VA

I think I saw a Metallic Gray on base yesterday too...

letting go of the F very soon....... do you guys think i should give a shot at just selling the car as is with mods or part out? pretty much everything is easy to uninstall but the headers will be cost efficient since i will need to have that professionally taken out... If anybody knows someone looking for a black 2010 F with 24k miles, message me

^Part it out, remove whatever you can, you'll get more for a stock car. Chances are the dealer will offer more for a stock car. What's next?!

VJ: Sent you a PM about the April IS-F Mega Meet (official name to-be-determined. )

Gene: Sorry to hear you're selling man! Your car is looking good as it sits, but you will DEFINITELY get a better deal by parting it first and selling it in the stock form than you will selling it modded. If I were you, I'd go ahead and bite the bullet to get the headers removed, and then take off the rest of the stuff yourself, and list it on here for sale. Cars are great, but selling to buy a house completely makes sense.

Hey VJ...and anyone else who see's this....I bought these gust guards online and they work great. No Issues with the 70-90mph wiind gusts. http://www.gustguard.com/large
That link is for the large size, which is the one to use for cars. I bought two sets of the large and put one gust guard just behind both front wheels(between wheel and side body), one just behind both back wheels(between wheel and rear panel/bumper, one under front lip(on the corners where the front bumper starts to curve to the sides), and the last one under the rear bumper(just like the front, where the corners of the rear bumper start to bend to the side).
This is a great investment, inexpensive, and works well. I also have the strap under the middle built on my cover, which helps a lot too. VJ, looks like I may have the same 5layer cover, or a very similar one.

Good luck all in future storms!

Our neighborhood suffered from Sandy, my next door neighbor had a huge tree on her roof. My F was safe and dry in its carriage house.

I saw this on WTOP this morning and when it stated Lexuses, I assume it would be an F.
