Default lapping wheels...

Hi Guys,

So I'm looking at some rims for lapping and I'm pretty much set on the RPF1's since they are super light...

What's the widest the front can take? I'd love to put 265's or 275's all around will at 9.5" rim fit up front with the right offset?

I really don't want to get a staggered setup since you cannot rotate wheels at all then.

Id say go 19x9.5 all around with Hankook R compounds. Size of tire is completely up to you. Depending on your ride height and offset, you should be able to do a 255 or 265

This is SCCAFORUMS reply to me recently when I inquired to his race winning setup.

Hi, Absolutely... 18 X 9.5 PF01 45mm Offset fit perfectly... square setup with 285/30/18 Kumho/Hoosier (your preference). Great clearance as well.

Carbotech Brake Pads (Phenomenal Stopping and easy to swap out at track, and not ruin your factory pads). (XP10 front XP8 Rear. I believe)

Borla True Dual Exhaust: Part# 12656

Drop in filter (the blue one? AFE maybe?) '

Hope that helps!

Thanks,
Dave

Hi Dave, I was thinking about getting something like the enkie PF01's like you have for the track and some semi slick track tires.... I've heard you are running a square setup with 285's all around... What size of wheel and offsets are u running and what tire and a sizes are you using? Do you have any issues with clearing stock brakes with your setup or fender clearance issues? Sorry for bugging you, I'm a newbie and don't want to buy something that's not going to work.
Also I've heard youve done really well in races with your setup... Would you reccomend your setup for me ( a HPDE newbie) who just plans on going to 5-7 HPDE's per year??

RPF-01s are unlikely to clear the brakes. PF-01s work great as ERDoc posted.
