Default Looking to Purchase a 2011 Used IS F

I used to own a IS 350, which was totaled in car crash. I figured I will get something different. So ended up getting a 2011 TSX. Im not really happy with the TSX. To make the long story short, there is a slightly used 2011 IS F. Here is the link for the car. My question is, what sort of price range can I negotiate? Im not really good at negotiating, but if you all can help me, as to where to start.

I think its a little high, try to get that much closer to the 50k mark.

I dont know, I paid 43k for my 2010. The miles are great on the car you posted.... Just think the price is a little too high.

It's a dealer. No one expects to pay the price on the window.
Run a Carfax, see what options it has and check the blue book value for your area.

Thats awesome. 43k is a pretty good deal for a 2010. How many miles did it have? I got my 2010 with about 10,000 miles on it for 48k.

I don't think the asking price is that high IF the car's description is correct. It lists adaptive cruise/collision warning system. That's a $1,500 option, and it is not a common option. The usefulness of it is another matter....

Yeah, you have to tell us how you did this. Was it from a private seller? Was it a certified preowned? How many miles on it?

Also, Oak Lawn Mazda seems to be collecting IS-F's for some reason...they had a bunch of silver 08's a while back, and now that black one.....strange.

and to make you feel better:

I paid $41.5 (45k out the door) for a lexus certified pre-owned 08 IS-F with 25k miles on it.

It was loaded even with the clear bra option and an extra set of wheels (18" Lexus G-Spiders) with almost new snow tires.

It belonged to someone on this forum I believe

Weird that the car fax notes that it was registered as a rental vehicle.. for all of 2 months. And now the dealer has had it for nearly 6 months.

Should I be concerned due to the fact that it was a rental vehicle?
There also is another low miles IS F at my local Lexus shop. Its an 2008 with 14K on it. How does lexus warranty work? Im kind of skeptical spending over 40K on a car which the warranty will expire soon. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Do you mean how does the "Certified PreOwned Lexus" Warranty work? It extends the warranty on the car 3 years or 100,000 miles. It is not transferable to any new owner if you sell it during that time. It comes with a free oil change and inspection redeemable at a later date.

For a 2008 with 14k miles on it (with Mark Levinson, headlight washers, etc) I would say you would be looking at around 44-45,000, which is around 47,000 with tax.

Tell them you will not pay the documentation fee, and only the car price + tax + title/plates.

Also if its at a dealer, have them check to see if the owner had snow tires/wheels with the car. Lots of people keep them at the dealer and forget about them....

If its the black one at glenview I would jump on it. The car looks clean as hell and is almost brand new.
