So I've been anxiously awaiting my titanium shift **** from s2carbonworks that a few people have had on here and recieved it today.... It's beautiful and looks great! ....... except one little problem... the "F" logo is "crooked" at the point of maximal tightness. is there a way to remedy this??? or do they just need to send me another one and "hope" that it will be straight next time...?

 

^^ Shove a cotton ball or two in the thread hole... That should allow you to stop it sooner..

lol what a funny fix however I would want the **** to be as low as possible so not sure I would want that fix.

 

we're talking about a TINY portion of a cotton ball that I rolled up and put in there.... It is not changing the heigth of the **** significantly at all (only about a turn or so.. so extremely small heigth change)

We drove American make cars and thought they were fast.
We though a race was only in a straight line and had no clue that a car was suppose to be able to go fast around a turn.
We paid top price for parts from the local dealer, and even sale tax.
We had to wait a whole month for a magazine to show up to be entertained and only got one or two people opinion about anything.

If the cotton didn't work, I'd've suggested cutting a small circle out of a milk container - just small enough to put all the way down the hole, then tighten to correct alignment. Polyethylene is a miracle material...

 

Very interesting... I'll have to remember that if the cotton solution "loosen's up" over time...
BTW... pictures do not to this thing justice.... It looks AWESOME installed (maybe looks better as I have an USB F... but I highly reccomend it as a "cheap" (little over $100) mod that definitely makes a dramatic difference to the interior... It FEELS GREAT in the hand during shifting as well.... much better feel and "lower" than OEM IMHO...

 

or you can just use some loctite blue stuff on the shift rod threads and just stop turning at it's last point in the right position. Leave it be for 15 minutes or so and you're done.

 

is this a "PERMANENT" fix? (is it reversable) or is it a glue it on and never get it off solution?
