I know it's way overpriced right now at almost 40k and it's not even certified. Do you think I can snag it for $34,500? That seems like a fair offer despite the mileage.

Not certified? It says on the Autotrader page that it is.

That's a lotta miles

I'm looking at another 08 with 18k miles at ~45k$ solid in black, or in white with 17k miles

I would be more worried about the body repair work, is it a clear title?

Yes, it's a clean title. I'm going to look at it tomorrow. What should I offer?

Disregard that ^. I just noticed that the description says its being sold as non-certified. Weird that they would say it's certified on some parts of the ad but not others.

I dont think your offer is unreasonable. Personally, I would never make an offer on a car that has a story, not for that price point. It may be tough to resell down the road, so I guess it depends if you plan on keeping it for a while.

That was the asking price for mine. I had them drop it about 10k when I purchased it. Make sure to expect the worst, and hope for the best when buying a car with high miles. I was ready to bring mine back to life. I wanted the car, and I know Im not going to sell it.

Let us know if the drop the price. I was trying to work a deal on a 2012 with them and they wanted $4000 over MSRP. They had a lot of BS reasons why they though they could get that.

Have you seen this one?

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false

You could also print it and use it as negotiation.

That's a good idea. Too bad I don't like that red color or I would consider that car also.

Don't let them know that, Tell them if they won't match the price you are going to buy this one.

FWIW I had noticed that blue ISF in Escondido too but never went to see it. It's a lil on the expensive side even though it's CPO. But I did consider it because that blue is amazing.

Along with that cheap red 08 ISF, South Coast Mitsu had a white 08 with less miles than the red one and I got a really nice deal on it. I paid what they were asking but got a nice trade-in plus they'd swap out all of my aftermarket parts (lots) for free on the old car. So that was literally like $3k of extra money coming back to me on top of the deal. Woot.

That red one is in decent shape so def use it to your advantage if you go see the blue...pretend you really like red but would settle for blue. ;-)

I thought I would only do CPO or a private party with super low miles to avoid issues down the road. But I got a full coverage warranty through a 3rd party (through SCM) for a lil over $2k. It's a full coverage 4 year/48k miles warranty that is just like a CPO or factory warranty. To be able to get that on a Lexus sold me on the car and covers me up to basically 100k. No more worrying about issues.

So, just for consideration, you can get a great warranty comparable to CPO for $2k-ish. Keep that in mind if you decide to buy private or compare the blue one to other vehicles.

I'd be happy to give more details over PM or email.

Oh, also, I chatted with a dealer in SC and they have a 32k mileage blue 08 ISF with super expensive rims on it. They said they could do around $40,500 SHIPPED for it. It's this one: http://www.highlinemotorssouth.com/w...ition_id=10426

The only reason I didn't jump was that I needed to pay off my previous car before taking on a new loan so I couldn't get this outright...but I would have!
