I have owned both a 2008 and now the 2011. I wanted the 2011 for the updated ride quality and steering. I have to say that the ride is a world of difference. It is stiff like you would think of a sports car to be but not so jarring and harsh like the 2008 was. I hated a rough road with my 08 and the wife often wanted to not take my car because of it. Now she loves the new car and the ride is much more tolerable.
The cluster was something that I initially didn't like. But now that I have had it for a while, I don't mind it at all. In fact when I give people a ride they are more intrigued by it.
The wheels at first I didn't like either. But now I think they are better than the 08's Wheels are something you can replace easily if you don't like them.
Over all this car is in my mind a huge improvement of my 2008 IS-F. The seats I find to be more soft and inviting too. If I had to do it all over again then I wouldn't hesitate. 2011 is the way to go!

Also have owned both an '08 and '11. The suspension difference is a big change and makes the car a much better DD, but my favorite upgrade is in the steering ECU. The steering feel is massively improved - the older versions had very heavy steering feel whereas the newer steering is more responsive and significantly lighter and more agile.
Given the choice between the '10 (or any other previous IS-F) and the '11, I would certainly go for the '11 without any hesitation. It's a much better car.

What are you talking about? I do not mean that in a rude way i am seriously curious on the subject i didn't know of interior improvements on the 2012

The color for the buttons is nice now. also the rear view mirror if you have a home link system to open the garage door, the buttons are now lit so one can see them in dark and does not have to fiddle around to find the first button. Too bad that these cannot be retro fitted on a 2011. You need to check a 2012 out to appreciate.

I'm shocked you are seeing a 25+ Avg MPG. I don't believe i've ever seen higher than 14-15 since i have had mine and i've had mine since new in late 2009. Guess it's safe to say i drive the hell out of mine

The only thing keeping me out of a later model is the brake and throttle software change. I actually like a lot of the changes.
If Lexus insists on keep the brake throttle interlock without a track mode, this will surely be my last Lexus for the track.
I wonder if they neutered the LFA this way?

No...
Because the LFA gas & brake pedals are anchored off the floor... So the floor mat can never cause an issue...

Checked out the 2012 yesterday and I have to say I still prefer the 2010-2011 wheels. They are just so different and unique. Otherwise the only difference I saw b/w 11s and 12s was the color difference of the temp buttons. Everything appeared exact.
