you can turn off and on car all day not gonna help
you can control most things with out screen but it is annoying.
probably why the new cars don't have touch screen any longer
I was told that they discontinued the touch screen because of the high cost for replacement. I personally prefer the touchscreen to mouse or **** dial control.

Mine also went dead and I'm out of warranty. I hope Lexus does a recall on this. I have been driving around for the past few months with only controlling my A/C with Auto and not able to use my Navi or other functions.

Try the repair http://https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-second-generation/610678-frozen-navigation-screen-fix-diy.html if you know a good electrician

Is the nav failure prominent in the earlier models only? My 08 was built in 2009 and has a fairly late VIN.

I contacted a guy in Georgia he told me to mail him my unit and he will replace it with a new one for around $550. Also I may consider on purchasing the one from eBay and trying that out. I'm trying to figure out the best and right way possible without having to pay an arm and a leg at Lexus Thanks for the input and help
