Default Headlamp washer delete?

anyone ever done this? This is one feature I really dislike about my F, its only use is to overspray the headlights & dirty up the car Is there anyway to 'delete' or 'bypass' this without affecting the computer of the car & getting some randome dash light turn on?

Doubt it's the same in the US but in the UK it's a legal requirement tied into HID / Xenon lights along with auto levelling.

Subscribed as I'd like to disable this feature too.

I have done it when I took my bumper off for intercooler measuring. The process is pretty straight forward as all your going to do is unplug 2 connections.

I know for the x50, I turned off the headlight washer feature with the windshield washers. There's still the button that you can use on the left side of the steering wheel to use the headlight washers. There's a thread somewhere here about it. Just had to clip and electrical tape one wire. :3 Hope it helps and good luck!

Just found the thread. Haven't got through reading it all though yet to see what the outcome is.

I replaced my bumper a while back and wish I would have looked into this then so I could have ordered one without them. Then I could have just got a blank to replace the switch with.

That thread is pretty straight forward if you want it to stop the auto activating feature ...

Otherwise, if you unplug from inside the bumper.. It should be fine..
You'll just kill the entire feature all together.. I don't think any warning lights will be displayed..
I could be wrong.

The plugs can easily be reached by peeling down the front bumper liner on the underside.
