I just got my Joe-Z exhaust installed today :P. but as the car was on the lift, I noticed that my inner tires are being eaten away like crazy! The car only has about 7,000 miles on it and it looks like I'm going to need new tires in like another thousand miles. My cars dropped on KW V3's, can anyone explain how to fix this. Also when I need to get a smog test in like four years, do I have to put the stock exhaust back on? && LOL. If I ever get pulled over by a cop for speeding and he sees my exhaust, what happens? thanks guys.

I'd say save the stock exhaust just in case. It would sure beat searching the classifieds for a stock exhaust if or when you might need it. Keeping it for precautionary purposes doesn't hurt at all, whether for a quick swap for a ticket or smog check. As for the Joe Z, it does sound amazing, but you just have to keep an eye out on your surroundings. Cops are after anything and everything, and the slightest throttle that's a little too loud for their liking and they will either tail you for some time or even pull you over on the spot. I have read of a few F owners here who were pulled over for their exhaust, but I attribute that to their surroundings more than anything (one was in a tunnel and a bike cop was right there waiting and another had foolishly WOT'd on city streets). Other than that, I say enjoy your car, but always watch out.

Camber issues?
I had my bone stock '08 in for a 15k inspection today and the service advisor mentioned that the tires are wearing abnormally on the insides as well. Is this a known deficiency with our cars and will an alignment be able to set the camber correctly? What are the downsides, if any, of getting the tires to sit "up" more Thank you.

I may be wrong here, but I don't believe camber is adjustable on the OEM rear setup.. I'm pretty sure that's why it's necessary to have Fig's Mega arms (that makes it so you can adjust camber) to correct the issue for a lowered car. Also, this will only fix the rear inner tire wear (obviously) and Figs is working on a Front end solution.....

thanks for all your responses guys, and @blitz thanks for letting me drive your car, had to buy one asap when I heard the v8 come alive. I guess I'm going to get an alignment when I get some new wheels and tires, LOL! & yesterday I was driving down a wide open street and since I just got the exhaust I was giving it a little gas and hit 80 in a 45, I looked toward my left and I saw a cop and i slammed the brakes which took me to 40. He didn't come after me. yay HAHA.

It could be your tires are under inflated, causing the uneven wear
You changed the geometry of the car when you lowered it and never got it aligned that's a big no no. The camber on these cars cannot be adjusted unless you purchase Figs links. A bad camber and toe will make your tires wear prematurely
About the exhaust it's illegal to be over a certain db's in different states. It all up to how the cop wants to handle it
