Default Newbie question on Shifting gears in S mode

I am sorry about asking this newbie question:

So, if i put my F in Manual mode, since we don't have a clutch anymore(obiviously)..

Am i suppose to let go the gas pedal everytime when I switch gear?

Or

Let say, I am racing on a drag strip, I can keep my foot on the floored pedal and swift gear without letting it go? If i doing this, is it going to hurts the transmission?

Any expert advice is apperciated! Thanks!

Just keep your foot planted! Won't hurt the transmission.

When decellerating the thing will beep twice if it can't shift down as you are at too high revs.

The machine is smarter than the man

sorry I'm thread jacking, but the OP's question was answered..... what is the proper way to do a burnout? do you put your foot on the brakes and gas at the same time? parking brake? I don't want to mess my car up and and this spring will take it to the 1/4 mile track!

You should not have your foot on the brake while you are pushing the accelerator I've always heard

To do a burnout, put left foot on brakes, and slowly push the gas pedal to about 4k rpms and hold rpms for a while until you see smoke behind

if you hold a gear too long at full throttle will the car just shut the power off or will it switch on its own eventually to protect the transmission?

You would never want to use the e-brake/parking-brake. That only holds the rear brakes.
Just stomping on the gas in this car should be enough to get wheel spin, you don't need to bring up the revs with a foot on the brake. Also turn off traction control as mentioned above.

Paddles or not, it's technically an automatic so no need to lift your foot at all. Just shift properly/in time.

And my rear tires spin and traction control flashes if I stomp it from a stop but if you want to launch "best" you need to left-foot brake while raising the revs like mentioned above. But for 99% of us you can just turn off traction control and when you want to go plant your foot on the right pedal.

If it's the first time at the strip then I would recommend leaving traction control on just to get a feel.
