We don't have many Shell stations near me, but I believe they are the recommended gas brand of Ferrari, if that means anything. I seem to jump between BP and Mobil, the BP near me has gas without ethanol in it, so I usually get that.
That's because Shell sponsors Ferrari's F1 team. They are just returning the favor
I try to go to same Shell every week in the mornings. The owner also mentioned they usually get a shipment of gas early in the morning so it doesn't sit in the tank all day? fresh gas I guess...
No way, all you guys who say all the gas is the same...I've tested this, and I've gotten the best out of Mobil. Get the most gas mileage with Mobil and power is more readily available. This may be my imagination but Mobil is the way to go for me.
Because it's true. All gasoline retailers use the same base stock in a given geography. The only difference is the additive package.
So like I said, it is not the same thing. We are not buying base stock. I was not eluding to the fact that people should not buy what they want, as for me, I will stick to Shell based upon my past info. I acuired. Based on that and for my piece of mind, i believe that their additive package is a quality product.

Feeling good is not the same as measured performance. There is truly no measured performance difference between the cheap brands and the expensive brands except the marketing overhead. If you really want to dig, you'll find the best thing to do is alternate brands because the additive packages are antagonistic, so running a single brand is actually the worst thing you can do.
