One sound related question. With stock exhaust, if u flick down 1-2 gears in manual mode, u can hear the car doing rev match if the rpm is above 5 thousand or so. Anything under its not noticeable. For those changed ur exhaust, were u able to hear a louder rev match effect ? Even at lower rpm?

I also have an r8 and the rev matching downshift is intoxicatin to listen to. You can hear it when u downshift at anything above 2.5 rpm. So see if I can apply this effect to the isf.

To answer your question

yes I have Joe z exhaust and intake and one of best thing about owning Joe z exhaust is rev matching it is wicked sounding and you can definitely hear it below 5000 rpm with no problem anything above 4000rpm sounds great.

Wait till you hear it downshift with the Joe-Z exhaust. It sounds like you've got a V10 supercar.

I have just an axle-back (Borla) and it definitely makes everything louder but I can't say the downshifting is more noticeable (at least worth mentioning). There are definite RPM ranges that you hear more, and ranges where you don't hear much. Either at WOT, downshifting, accelerating, etc.. After-market exhaust just increase the volume IMO. So what you hear now will "mostly" apply to other exhausts.

Thats great to know guys. In stock form, the downshift rev matching noise only happens above 5K rpm.
