Default 2011-12 suspension on 2008-10 models?

Hi guys,

I am curious, but with the suspension upgrades to the last two model years, is it possible to retrofit the same components to the 08 - 10 models?

Yes you can. But the suspension isn't so much what improved it's C&D lightning lap time as much as it was the TORSEN LSD that was installed.

So if you're looking for comfort improvement, that's the way to go, if you're looking for performance improvement, it won't be worth the money, just get a new set of coilovers.

I think a nice set of coilovers would be an easier solution...

But to answer your question, YES..

I will admit that I've not driven the pre-11 models, but thought the ride of an 11 was very liveable. I am more concerned with comfort as I am looking at an ISF as a potential candidate for a 30 mile each way daily driver.

Sounds like my daily commute which I've been doing with the F for the past two weeks so far. No complaints what so ever and I have to drive in one of the crappiest worst condition highways in the SF Bay Area

Is your F an 08-10 or an 11+. My commute is 90% highway cruising between 60 and 70 mph. And I will take comfort over a jarring ride any day.

Mine is an 08 and I drive between 40 to 100 miles a day for work. I'm fine with it and I have a very loud exhaust. Maybe trading the ISF in for a LS460 would be a good play.

I snickered. LOL.

I was going to ask this question earlier this week as well, I wonder how much it would cost to do this.

Do you guys know what suspension parts were actually changed?
I came from a S2000 that was slammed on 19s. Driving my F feels like a dream compared to my S

Everybody here came from an S2000.

Don't you know the progression of ISF owners.

S2000 -> Evo -> ISF -> GTR

Sometimes the Evo can be skipped or the S2000 is a 350Z but this applies to 99% of the ISF owners in this forum.
