Default 2008 with very little rear wheel gap. normal or not

My 2008 has very little gap in the rear wheel wells where as the front has a huge gap. The difference is about an inch. It appears as if the rears are dropped, but the front are OEM. I have F sport rear sway bar, the wheels, tires and suspension are all stock. I have never used it to haul heavy objects and there is no heavy objects residing in the trunk. I first noticed this over a year ago, but never bothered to get it fixed. The car drives fine. Anyone has noticed this or is it just my car.

Same here. My front gap is significantly more noticeable than the rear. Normal.

Drop the front with TEIN lowering springs and leave the rear stock. Harsh ride actually improves slightly, handles the same and levels out the car PERFECTLY! Just fix the camber or the inside edge of front tires will wear much faster than the rest. There isn't a camber kit designed for the ISF yet for the front that I'm aware of but I'm going to put on SBC adjustable ***** joints to remedy that. Trust me on the stance! =)

Yeah the front wheel gap is huge but the wheel gap in the rear is quite nice. I just dropped my front end onf Eibachs and now I have almost the same wheel gap in the front as I do in the better with slightly better ride quality.

^ when you guys use lowering springs aren't you putting more pressure on the oem shocks? Which will cause them to wear/blow faster?

This is a funny thread. It is also ridiculous that it even exists. This car has been out for over 4 years now and for someone who bought a used one you think you would have done even a small amount of research, maybe even looked at a few pictures online or in the brochure.

FLAME ON.

They should more or less stay the same as the valving has not changed. What actually changes is the shocks ability to control the presumably stiffer spring that goes with the lower ride height to prevent bottoming out.

It's not putting them under higher pressure. They wear out faster with lowering springs because they are operating outside the the stroke range for which they were designed.
