Not necessarily...

100 miles of demo could simply mean it was the one used to take customers for product test drives too..

You can easily check the tire nubs on the front & the back.. If both still have them, then I'm sure there were no burn outs done..
If the front has them and the rear doesn't, then maybe you can show some concern....

I got my IS-F new with 50 miles.. Both front & rear tires still had the nubs, very visible.

Click Below for a ZOOM in, of a tire nub..

Of course opinions vary but most car people would say you don’t have to "break in" a modern car like you used to in the past. The only thing they usually say is to vary your highway speed for the first few hundred miles. Other than that, drive it like you stole it. I personally wouldn’t pay close to sticker if it's a demo car. Especially seeing it’s not your color. Have them take a few grand off then maybe consider it!

You guys bought up some great points. But for me, a demo car with 100 miles is different from a car that has been on test drives for 100 miles. I guess it all depends on what "demo" means for that particular vehicle.

To the OP: if it's not really the color you want, I'd suggest waiting for the one you really want and not compromise just because of a slightly lower price.

Well this whole car searching has given me a major headache. I've searched as low as an IS250 and as high as a Panamera and the Quattroporte (which is incidentally a horrendous car aside from the way it looks and sounds). After everything I think I am just going to pick up a low-miles 5spd IS300 for a year or so and call it a day.
