No crap?! 10-15k? That's insane,.. what do you mean rebuild? I'm not a mechanic by any mean but by rebuild I could see servicing the struts but other than that I don't imagine a complete break down of KW's or any other quality brand. I've yet to hear anybody on here with V3's complain about them and I'm sure they've put more than 10k on them.

With BC coilovers you don't need to rebuild, just install new shock cartridges. i think they last longer then that but who knows.

It mean shipping your coils back to dealer to service, rubbers, gaskets, fluids, i got my redone at JIC headquarter in alhambra , When you see your coils start leaking fluids and feel that is no longer gives to bumps and dips that are signs.

yeah that what they said, but you have to jack up the car, take the tires, take out the coils , spring and reinstall new cartridges, and rubbers. reload the springs. I dont think your garage has those tools

u are correct my garage doesn't have the tools, but I can either get them or pay a small fee. i rather spend 8 hours or less then a week waiting for the rebuild. how long did it take yours by the way? also how much did it cost you? I was actually thinking of upgrading the springs when I need to replace the cartridges. thinking of swift springs.

You can send it to them, they charged me 180$ each , took them about 1hr and a bit more for each coil. Additional 120$ for the serviced =taking out the coils and reinstalled them . about 3 hrs total .

KW's are designed to last at least 60k miles.

I was planning to get the KW V 3 installed next month. I am very concern if they do not last longer than 15k. Simply....just not a smart purchase. I need to confirm if they do last for 60K + miles.

Not everyone that buys coilovers are going to get the same life expectancy.. It just depends on alot of factors like shock travel, driving characteristics, road conditions, etc. I've personally seen guys get 30k out of them and seen others get 75k. You can't just make a blanket statement and say that all coilovers will get a specific life expectancy because there's just too many different factors involved. That's like saying everyone will only get 20k out of a certain tire brand. Well how would you know when everyone drives in different road conditions and have different driving styles. Guaranteed if you call up KW they will tell you their coilovers are designed to last 60k without a rebuild but does that mean that they will last that long for every person? No, not necessarily.
