Any 2011/12 IS-F Owners Who Previously Had an 08' with KW V3's?
Just wondering how the 08' compares to the 11/12's in both ride quality and handling with the 08' running KW V3's. Any previous 08' owners with this setup trade in for a 2011/12 and can offer a comparison?
Thanks in advance

I would love to hear about this too. Im about to place an order of the V3's next week no matter what, but it's always good to get comparisons.
I'd test drive a 11/12 F but I'd probably have to drive 5hrs or more to find one out here in the Midwest

I would put it this way for you. stock for stock 11/12 has better ride over the 08. now an 08 with KW v3, im pretty sure they ride is better then stock for 11/12. it makes it that much better. this is my opinion.

I'm on KW V3's and they ride nice and smooth except for the occasional bump in the road, I have mine set pretty low and the dampering is stiffer but still will rub sometimes on the wheel liner.

Btw, you'll love the KW's for this car. They truly transform it in bump absorption, wheel control, cornering flatness, and overall civility.

I hear ya...I haven't driven the later models but I would think you're right in your analogy. The ride quality is excellent with the KW's. So well sorted compared to my 08's suspension prior.

Yeah I love your setup with the gloss black stockers. I was actually thinking of doing the same and your pics from s few weeks ago swayed my opinion to do it so thanks for that (love the look of the stock wheels too much to replace them with aftermarket.)
Had you painted yours or powdercoated?
Mine will be a little different in that I'm going to keep the "samurai sword" portion gunmetal (the skinny part that comes polished on the Canadian spec/Neiman Marcus editions) and then go gloss back throughout the rest of the wheels.
I'm sitting higher than you for daily driving civility but love your cars stance.
No rubbing yet with my current drop pictured below.

how will the kwv3's hold up long term compared to the stock setup?
and with them do you have to lower or can you remain at the stock height?
sort of a dumb question but I have been considering them for a few years and have little experience with suspension setups

Any coilovers, doesnt matter what brands. 10k to 15k that the life expectancy coils, then u need to rebuild it. Some are wears faster then others and depend on how abusive they get. Also you can adjust any height u like with in the coils specs .

Holy cow! 10-15k miles? That's it? Well that's going to make me think twice about getting coilovers that will have to be rebuilt every other year or so...
