Default Lowest maintenance color choice.

Howdy guys, I am currently in the market for a used ISF. I plan to buy within a couple of months and am kinda torn as to which color I like. I love obsidian, but know that would be the highest maintenance color. The only color I'm not too keen on is matador red mica. What color would you suggest?

TIA

Starfire Pearl and Mercury Metallic are both fairly low-maintenance.

It usually refers to swirls and how quickly the car gets dirty. My previous s2000 was berlina black and after I would finish washing it I swear it was already dirty! Black cars are a pain to keep clean, but I LOVE them when they are clean.

anything but black. Each color will show water spots/dust at differing angles. Dirt doesn't magically disaapear.

White, is perhaps the very least, but shows mud much more than say, an SGM

Or a matador will show dust more than waterspots

At the end of the day, get one that you like right off the bat, and work at keeping it clean. I mean, it isn't too demanding to wash a car once a week to be honest. One decent wash and then maintain the finish with quick detailer/california duster & tire shine will keep it looking good.

GL!

Buying a black car requires more work then other colors. I keep mine fairly clean & waxed for the most part. Obsidian or Blue was my 2 fav. colors

Dark silvers like those charcoal colors hide swirls and dirt the best imo

Starfire Pearl IMO would be the color that needs the least maintaining. I've been able to notice more scratches and rock chips on a Mercury Metallic than the USB or MRM colors. Obsidian is pretty darn hard to keep clean, but personally I don't mind the constant cleaning. It's well worth it. Best of luck in your choosing an F!

My preference is the SGM, USB, MM, or SFP so I guess that's most colors I honestly love obsidian the most, but don't know if I can handle another black car. The car is just going to be a weekend/pleasure car so I'll surely be washing weekly regardless of color.

Btw thanks guys for your input! I've had to jump through so many hoops with my wife to get a thumbs up to buy the car. I've had to sell 2 of my cars and 1 of hers, buy her a new CRV ( expecting our first born soon), save x amount of dollars on top of the down payment! Now that that's all done I'm officially in the market. I've already been purchasing parts for a few months so needless to say I'm rather excited!
