I do not like big wings, but this one has grown on me in a big way. How sturdy is it? Seems like it would not be sturdy and might even damage the trunk with how it attaches. Any signs of wear on the finish where it attaches? Any flex in the wing?

The Sard wing attaches to the trunk edges using brackets and screws and also uses tape on top. This is a high quality tested piece that doesn't flex and is very sturdy. I can't tell you if the finish is affected in any way since I'm not taking it off, but I can tell you that the foot print is small where it attaches to the trunk. Hope that helps.
