Up on the jack stands tonight before bed…!!

Getting ready to make her road worthy again after 21 months of mostly non use. Needs TLC !!!

On deck: engine oil & filter, diff oil, reinstalling back 1/2 of exhaust, new tires after wheel touch ups, rear brake pads.. etc.

Way overdue for mine…!!

Never knew the OEM spec LX Diff oil for the Torsen LSD was in the red/pink color pallet dept.

This new oil should last 60K miles which may now take me forever to put on my IS F

Didn't know it was red/pink either... I just had a friend who's a master tech at Lexus do my trans filter/fluid + diff fluid. Mine was WAYYYY over due but the car feels so much better now.

If you have the standard open diff (08-09) I do believe the required LT fluid is still golden in color.. and way less expensive..

Will be doing the ATM fluid next, still debating to drop pan for filter swap.. @180K miles

SLOW work in progress….!!

Added a Greedy magnetic drain plug - thanks to @JT2MA71

Filter looks great with only a few thousand miles, but sending the engine oil out to Blackstone for a check up with 180K miles..

The oil & filter only had a few thousand miles, but it had 22 months of limited use with short drives and periodic start run idles, which is horrible for engines
( I know )
