Apologies, you guys are probably sick of seeing this car, but I just had my new black plates come in so updated the pics.
Might aswell give a bit of a back story on this too. I picked it up a couple of weeks ago for the equivalent of $12.5k USD. Just clicked over to 250,000km (155k miles), but luckily came with full service history. Valley plate, starter, water pump and radiator done by Lexus at 100k miles.
Has a 2-way Cusco Type RS LSD, 19x9.5 TBC wheels, RR Racing lower control arm bushes, aftermarket engine oil cooler, custom tune (300kW atw), BC Gold coilovers, aftermarket exhaust tips, carbon front bumper lip + rear spats and BaysonR sideskirt extensions. The car was previously custom wired to run a Link ECU, which has since been removed but the wiring is still there, so could be an option to do in future.
I put the facelift headlights and eyelids on it which has made a big difference to the front end. Definitely gets tail happy with that 2-way LSD so needed the aggressive looking front to suit it's personality
Will make the next update a good one

Yeah I couldn't say no when it came up for sale, especially after I got the service history out of Lexus. To put it into perspective, IS-F's here usually go for around $27,000 NZD ($16,000 USD) for higher mileage ones (90-125k miles), with the average price being around $35,000 NZD ($20,000 USD) for one that has done 60,000 miles. But 90% of them are direct imports from Japan so often lack service history and have the infotainment screen and dash cluster in Japanese + have a speed cut of 190kph from factory, as per Japanese law back then, so you need to get a tune to remove it.
This one however is what we call "New Zealand New", as in it was sold brand new here from the dealer back in 2008. Easiest way to tell them apart is by the headlight washers on the front bumper, and everything is in English + there is no speed cut to worry about. It's also a late 2008 so is technically an '09 model year, with the revised dash and door trims, black stereo surrounds, updated centre vent and black trims on the side of the console + door grab handles.
The engine still looks tidy, it's just missing the two side engine covers so I have ordered them from Japan. Interior is good too. The steering wheel and gearknob were both pretty worn so I just replaced them with some nice secondhand ones I found.

New splash of color + DBA T3 4000 series rotors and Powerstop Z26 Street Warrior pads (brakes flushed with Castrol React brake fluid).

I'm also running the Z26 pads. They're OK, but after running full race pads, they feel like they need a lot more effort to stop hard.

Downunder - IMO getting sick of looking at F's (especially in USB) would be hypocritical.
Spent most of Sunday in the garage:
Washed
Claybar'ed
Compounded and polished
Coated in graphene wax
Solution Finish on brake ducts and cowling
Tire shine applied
Leather seats cleaned and conditioned
Vacuumed
RainX applied to all exterior glass
When I was painting the calipers the other day I removed all of the tar from inside the barrels of the wheels and ceramic coated them, then polished the chrome lip. About as clean as this thing can get. I honestly forget that it has done 155,000 miles.
