Honestly, I wouldn't bother until if/when it does happen. It may have already been done in the past, unlikely with that mileage but possible. 9 times out of 10 a direct injector plug will break during the job and set you back another $1000, so it's not worth worrying about until it happens. Keep an eye on the coolant level and if worst comes to worst and it does get the valley plate leak then you can keep topping it up in the meantime as it's usually pretty gradual. In the meantime, enjoy driving the car and try not to think about it
Cool thanks I'll follow that advice , I'll forget about it for now
The consensus around here seems to be that to leave the valley plate alone until there is a problem. With the complexity of the job and the potential to of damage to brittle injectors and maybe other components, it's best to keep an eye out and tend to it only when necessary.

Cheers - makes sense, don't want to be taking the car apart unnecessarily. Being a first time owner just had me more paranoid after reading about it.
Used a complete console from a 6MT IS250, had to modify a bunch of things to make the center trims fit, inverted the handbrake boot into a phone holder instead and ordered an aftermarket carbon 3IS shift **** to match the red stitching in the rest of the car.
Probably going to get a bunch of questions about if it's a manual, but it's still an auto, this is a cosmetic mod only. Mainly did it just for fun and to be different. Though a manual IS-F would be sick, maybe one day!
The car was dirty last night, and I would've missed the opportunity for the golden ratio if I went to wash it. So, I washed it before sunrise today, and took a lot of pictures. You can view the best ones in my journal, if interested. I'll post some of my favorites here, as well:
Another small upgrade on the blue IS-F. Facelift silver steering wheel controls. These are metal instead of plastic (possibly magnesium like the paddle shifters but am unable to confirm) and come with the Sport button on the RH side.
My blue IS-F has radar cruise control, so rather than mucking around with relocating the switch I decided to swap over the old one, and the put the Sport button in my white IS-F which is the more aggressive car of that two, and usually has the Sport button turned on a lot more often.
