Oil change every 5k miles. There is a 30k major service which top off the fluids and inspect the brakes and tires. 60k major service includes the valve inspection. Be prepare to shell out a lot of money just for those 2 major services. I am planning to bypass them and do the 90k one and go from there. 7k oil change for me. so far all I did was replace my tires and brake pads and also replace to the updated coolant hose due to leaking issue.

My dealer charges $250 for the 5k oil change intervals, so I do my own now. Much much cheaper, and I know its done right then.

They key phrase is not to ask for 5K Service during write up. Simply tell SA to perform Synthetic oil and filter change, which typically runs about $120.

I'm actually posting from the UK
I posted on here cos there isnt a lot of info on the ISF in the UK as it only sells in small numbers.

What i'm finding strange is that in the USA you have a 5K service and in the UK its every 10K ???

Very strange indeed, been debated before... In other EU-countries it´s every 15k km, so basically 9k miles. Also "our" first big service is after 30k km, so 18k miles...

If you're billing your time at $300 an hour, then this is reasonable. If you're not, you're spending a lot of money for something really simple.

I've spent a bit of money proving the IS-F can easily go 12k miles (20,000km) between oil changes and I have the oil analysis results to back it up. This includes track weekends, so I'm definitely not babying the car. No idea why they specify 5k mile oil changes in the US except to make more money servicing cars.
