Default carbon fiber

Are there any shops/stores that sell a carbon fiber piece for the rear console?

Really? $1000 for a piece of carbon fiber nobody will ever see or has no functionality to it?

It might way a few grams less then the plastic piece. That would make it functional as weight savings.

Think Design does make some nice parts, and though they do look good, to me those prices can't be justified. I do applaud those who make their cars even more unique to them, however.

If that piece was less expensive I would go for the silver CF version. I think it would tie in nice with the shifter console.

I paid less for the ARKYM rear diffuser then that little, almost shapeless part!!

There was a vendor, about three years ago that I was working with who turned out to be a flake and a scammer. I designed an insert for the rear. The first one cracked, but the second one, that I received, after following him around from forum to forum and watching him fail, turned out pretty good and is still in my car. It would be great to get someone to make these, IMHO.

I actually like your version better then the think design piece. I followed the thread on your issues so I didn't mention it in this thread.
If someone would make more of those I would be a guaranteed sale..

The carbon fiber craze has gotten a little out of hand IMO, and I just can't justify paying that much. I think subtlety is the key i.e. less is more.

I have the same thing in my car, including the Think Design front console garnish like you have.

The Think Design stuff is pricey but they use genuine OEM parts so the fit and finish are perfect. I also thought the rear console piece might be a bit too much in my car (USB/black), but it makes a big difference in a good way and looks like the car came that way. Maybe with different exterior colors (or interiors), it might be less than subtle for some but, for my particular combo, I believe it to be a very nice addition. I believe most of you will feel the same way if you ever get the opportunity to see it in person and in scale with the rest of the car.

I have several of the silver ThinkDesign pieces but do not have the rear console piece. I really want to pick it up but I agree it is so darn expensive but the quality is definitely top notch.
