Wow you guys are hardcore - socal to Chicago is nothing to sneeze at for a drive! OMG!

To OP: Did you go to the Westmont or Chicago dealer? Do they still have that mini put put course in the waiting area?

I cannot agree more! Everytime I start the car is a rush!

We took our time. It took about 34-35 hours of driving over 5 days. It was especially fun going west after leaving Denver...nice curvy and hilly roads. Iowa and Nebraska were the worse states to drive through! They were flat and there were a whole lot of exploding bugs!

I washed the car this weekend and it took about 3 hours. I probably spent 1.5 hours getting all the bug guts off. The wheels, although very aesthetically pleasing, are a pain to wash. I might wax them to make it easier next time.

I picked it up at the Chicago dealer. Nick Novelli and Mike K were awesome in securing me the deal. Yes, they still had the mini putt putt course in front of the cafe/waiting area! Overall, a nice lexus dealer.
