That's great news about your wheels!

No it will not void any warranty. Just make sure you go to a reputable shop to get the work done.

But proven aftermarket companies like HRE, BBS, Volks, and others focus less on "mass appeal" and more on individual design, focusing on the wheel itself rather than if it complements a certain car. What you get is a more individual design wheel that weights less while maintaining the same if not better strength and durability.

Comparing any wheel by pricing is very very shortsighted.
Yup, I'm well aware that our OEM wheels are made by BBS and are forged. (for strength and light weight). They are a high quality wheel. It still cracks me up that people replace them with aftermarket junk.

Glad to hear it worked out for you. And lots of respect for the posters here who put the craigslist ad up and helped the OP out.

Great ending to a crazy story. Glad that guy got what he deserved. I bet he won't dare mess with Lexus cars again when he gets out.

Happy ending. Now I wanna know who that jackass is. And since the original wheels are back, what will happen to the insurance claim?

OP said he picked up his car thurs, so I guess that means once they confirmed they were his/hers, Geico bought the wheels back and they went on the OP's car. Now, Geico has to sue the theif for reimbursing the costs of the claim. The prosecutor's office will then pursue a separate criminal charge of grand theft against the theif.

Dude you're well-versed in the law

OP- very happy to hear you got your wheels back. Def install the proper security countermeasures. It's rare you get a second chance like this.
