Default Tab mod for those who are lowered and on a 245 tire.

I need some insite on modifying my plastic wheel well liner. There is a bumpout of plastic with a big screw that i hit on big bumps. (Front wheel wells). If your looking at the front wheel its on the upper right corner. If i pull back the liner there is a metal flat tab where the screw goes through. Are you cutting this or bending? I cant fully remove the tab because the screw holds the liner in.

Also, another issue is hitting the top of inner liner. Is everyone using a heat gone and wet rag and pushing up to make more clearance?

I have the same problem. I'll be curious to see everyone's input on this, the rub on bumps is very annoying.

I'd heat up the tab and bend it back as well as the liner, I wouldn't cut anything. I haven't done this on my F but I have done it in my other cars

you somewhat answered your own question. cut it off, or bend it back. you can beat it back with a hammer/mallet if youd like. i agree with the suggestion of heating it up first, itll make the metal more pliable not only so that you bend it easier, but it will also help prevent the paint from flaking/chipping off when youre bending it

I will take a picture of my solution tonight. I bent the tab to a full 45 degreee angle. I then removed the screw and replaced it with a screw that is flush with the fender liner when screwed in but still holds the liner. I did this as soon as I got my wheels and have never scraped that spot ever now.

edit: Are you guys referring to the tab at the front of the wheel arch by the bumper or the back of the arch by the F badge?
