I may be missing something but there are cars that come from the factory with this color that I see all the time. I have not seen one time regarding the people that take care of their cars where the calipers have deteriated. I have the factory Porsche Yellow caliper paint and the shop that did mine had many cars cars there whether in for service, maintainance or for sale including their race cars that looked fine. Of course, if you don't take good care of them, I see your point but that is regardless of the color.

^Don't take my comment in a negative way - I do love the yellow color but due to the extensive brake dust this car naturally produces, it gets covered in dust really fast. I didn't mean durability - I meant it won't stay clean yellow for long before it gets dirty. Of course if you spend the time cleaning it no problems but I'm too lazy.
My friend did his in yellow and I saw how fast it got dirty so I kept my the OEM black and just changed the letters to yellow instead. Black hides brake dust better Just personal preference I guess!
P.S. I LOVE yellow too!

Got it, with my Vossens and the type of pads I have, the dust is very low. It seems the flow of air with the open wheel design helps disperse the dust somewhat as well. The design also makes cleaning or detailing them a snap.
