You will be ok. These pads are good for everyday driving. If your going to go from 60-100mph and slam on brakes on every light, then go for a semi-metalic/carbon pad. The ceramic pads are not meant for "race applications", nor has anyone said that they were. These are for keeping your budget in order, and tackling the dust problem. By the way, I read that these pads are made by StopTech, but I cant confirm it yet.

Like most of us, I'm really getting tired of cleaning my wheels every Friday due to dust accumulation. My front brakes actually started to squeak this week. After reading this thread, I'm convince of purchasing the Wearever brake pads for front and rear. I'm ordering it today. Can't go wrong with the price.

Tell me about it. In the end of the day, saving people some cash good enough. We all pay a premium for our rides, its nice to have some cash left over.

I installed these Wearever Ceramics, front only, a few weeks ago. Since the install, I have developed the ugly rusty rings on the outer and inner perimeters of the rotors, as if the pads are not large enough to make contact with the entire rotor. Has anyone else experienced this with these front pads? Perhaps I did not bed them properly? Anyone have any suggestions on how I can fix this problem? Thank you in advance.

Same problem with mine with wearever ceramics on new centric rotors. At some point Im going to apply silver paint to those areas to mask the rust. I did that before on another car and it turned black pretty quick but it looked much better than the rust ring.

The guys with problems with Wearever pad installs such as rust rings, squeaking, etc... are you doing the installs yourself? I plan to have the dealer do my work to avoid these problems.

Theres no magic to performing a brake job and it's particularly simple on our cars. The rust ring is a result of the wearever brake pad being slightly more narrow than the rotor surface, so the portion of the rotor not contacted by the pad will develop rust.

Dealer installation will not avert this, it's caused by the size of the pads.

You got that right, one of the easiest setups on changing the pads out!!! I love it!
