You have to remove the intake pipe and then its simply a matter of releasing the two clips on top of the air box. The right side of the air box comes out to expose the filter

Ok, I'm an amateur at this stuff. How do I remove the intake pipe, do I have to remove any of those big plastic engine cover pieces?

You dont need to remove any covers to switch out the air filter. Some people remove the front bumper plastic cover but I never bother. To remove the intake you just loosen the two straps on either end of the pipe and it comes right off. It should take you a total of 5 minutes to get at the air filter

No luck, call me an idiot! So am I loosening the small pipe going from intake to filter box, or the metal ring clamp around the large pipe going into engine?

Thanks all! Figured it out, when closing air filter casing is their any special hinge or device on bottom side. All I can see is the two top clasps. Thanks again.
