Default Son of a $!+?*

So the last week or so we've had pretty crappy weather here in Chicago and the car has definitely accumulated a layer of road dust/dirt. Figuring that today would be a little better (and today being my b-day) I decide that I want to drive to work in a nice clean car. Get home last night, gf is at her mom's house, so perfect time to go downstairs and give the car a nice wash without being hurried or anything. A couple of hours later the car looks nice and clean and I decide to wait til this morning to reap the benefits of my labor. Fast forward to this morning. Sun is shining, weather is cool but comfortable, I turn up the radio, roll down the window, and get on the road. Nothing like a self satisfying drive to work in a clean car, especially if you toiled a few hours cleaning it yourself. Five minutes into the drive, the traffic begins to loosen up, I merge into the left lane, get it up to about 50 and then it happens. Trrrrrrat! A freaking condor with diarrhea takes a huge dump on the car. Half the front windshield covered, splatter on the hood, right front window looks like someone threw a bucket or god knows what on it, and a little bit bounces off the inside of the driver's side mirror and end up on the inside of the b-pillar. Son of a ?*#+@$!!! You've got to be kidding me. After I get to work and get out to see my newly covered masterpiece, I realize another 10 pound lump must've landed in the right front scoop since that's completely covered.

Oh well, they say getting crapped on by a bird is good luck. I think I am going to play the lottery today.

Yup hate it when that happens. I usually will get to work and get a wet towel and go clean it off..then come back in and wash my hands.

I was planning on washing my car today, as I am working from home...feels good!

^^^ Yeah, quickly get that stuff off, even if you just hose some water on it. Especially don't let it bake in the sun. That stuff will definitely leave a mark if you don't get it off soon!

Earliest opportunity I will have to do that will be in a few hours during lunch. Just going to go find a touchless carwash around here somewhere.

That's fustrating.
I wonder if people who paint the cars mat black still get targeted or if it tricks the birds in to thinking there car is dirty
BTTW......Happy birthday, hope the rest of your day goes better.

Here I am laughing at your thread this morning, and I go out for a coffee and see this....

WTF!!!!!! - Some sort of giant pterodactyl managed to hit my car as well.

It was so big, I was surprised there was not a foot attached to it!

Well just went to a so-called touchless delta sonic wash. They had one of those conveyors which push your wheel along and I freaked out if the rim might get scratched up, but it seems to have made it through ok. The crap is off for the most part until I get home and get it wiped down with some mcguire's.
