Just started looking for a used (2008-2009) IS-F, any common problems or major scheduled maintenance that I should be on the lookout for when I start my search?

Only problem I have so far with my 08 is loose front seats (both being replaced under warranty for brand new ones). Also infamous pulling to the right issue.

Great...I will be on the lookout for both. Never heard of the pulling issue..I will do a little research on it.

I've heard of the right side pulling issue more so than the water pump. Some had it worked on under warranty, and I believe there are a few threads that describe re-alignment to decrease or eliminate premature tire wear. I would think wheel pitting from brake dust might be a concern if some have not checked out their wheels for some time. Best of luck in picking your F!

Yeah, good luck in your search. I searched for over 4 months before I located mine. Finding right color, or milage, year, condition etc.

Good info..thanks guys. Finding it will be definitely be the hard part..looking for something with 25-30k miles or less. There are only 2 or 3 near me in Nj/NYC area.

If you hold on to the seat (bottom part) and give it a push upward, It will rock back and forth. At first, dealer thought it was something loose, they tried to tight it up but nothing help. So they decided to replace the seats and the issue is fixed.
