Sun Rot of Windshield seals?
Has anyone seen this?
I was cleaning my car this weekend and found that the rubber seals around the lower corners of my windshield were dry cracked and rotting.
Anyone else? Car is only 4 years old, seems unacceptable for a Lexus or any car for that matter.

Can anyone help me ID the part number so I can replace it?

Mine were replaced when I got a new windshield. Might want to call any windshield company or dealer to find out the part or if they can order you a new part. According to the shop that replaced my windshield, they said it was around $70 for these trim pieces. Don't know if there's any truth to this since they just billed my insurance company.

wish me luck, I'm 2 months out of warranty on my factory. I've got the Lexus platinum extended but have a sinking feeling they will screw me claiming it's "trim" and not covered.

Nothing even close to this on my '08. But it lives in a garage at home and at work. It hardly ever gets parked in full sun.
People are always shocked at how good my Supra looks for the same reason. After replacing the dash in the car because of sun damage, I've been extremely cautious with cars I plan to keep.

I had the same issue on a 06 IS350 and the 08 ISF. Replaced the 2 trim panels out of pocket because out of warranty. Around $140 from Sewell for driver + passenger trims and 10 of the one-time usage clips. Actually, once the trim is removed, the snap in clips are broken, so the clips + trim are one time use only.

I noticed the same issue with mine earlier this year. Dealer replaced without hesitation. All that being said, this part will continually do this every 3 years of so....it's not the best quality.
