Default Water pump?

Saw that I had the pink crust around my water pump so I guess it's about that time. Has anyone changed it themselves? How hard was it?

Should be replaced at no cost at the dealership if still under warranty.

It's not under warranty anymore. They said that's is a $900 job. So I'll most likely be doing it myself. The part is only $240.
