Bridgestone Potenza S04 Pole Position

The Potenza S-04 is an excellent tire that I recommend to customers very often. I sold some to my best friend for use on his Chrysler Crossfire that sees some track use and daily driving during the summer only. When they came out, they were the #1 tire in the Max Performance Summer category, but they were surpassed by the PSS when it was released. The PSS has better grip in the wet and dry, it is quieter and rides better, and it lasts longer. I sell the S-04 when the PSS isn't available in the appropriate sizes or if the PSS is out of the customer's budget. Basically, the S-04 is great, but it's definitely the #2 tire in the category. I hope this helps.
The tires are the limiting factor to what the entire chassis can do. Spend the money and get the better tires.

Got these mounted on Sat. The tires look great on the car, looks very aggressive from the rear and tires look flush with the fenders now. Haven't gotten a chance to push it since roads were cold and wet, plus stupid northeast weather is still in the 20's. One thing i did notice is the bumpy ride is a bit more tolerable overall as compared to the DWS. Will upload pics once I get home.

let us know what you think of the steering response. I am still upset that the upsizes never worked for me. If it works stick with it. Lou kind of pioneered these sizes and loves the,.

I absolutely hated these tires lol, didn't last me at all and didn't grip at all. Just my 2 cents. After upgrading to Bridgestone re-11 in 255/275, car drives totally different, yes I know tire sizing matters.

^^^^They are a summer only tire, and do not handle cold well. When I move, later this year, to the Lake Arrowhead area - 5,100 ft, I will not be driving the F in cold temps at all. Here is the Phoenix area, it never gets cold enough to cause problems. The S-04, in it's element, grips great for me

A couple of the warehouses I deal win California are OOS in the 285/30/19. One of the sales reps says they are being discontinued. Anyone know if this is definite?
If the Michelins are on eternal back order, and availability on the Bridgestone's is iffy, that is a bit concerning. Yes I know I tire rack has the Bridgestone's, but if they come off back order I can get them for substantially less.

Well since the PSS were out of stock I went with these. First day on them and I'm unsure. No noise, rides fine, but I did have one issue.
Anyone have any stability issues at triple digit speeds? I was very nervous because the car didn't to drive a straight line. I promptly took it back and they insist there are no issues with the alignment.
